This week on Utah NOW, a conversation with Ralph Nader. Throughout his career the controversial candidate and consumer advocate has tormented corporate America and the country's political establishment. But like him or not, there is no denying his influence on American public life.

Between daily TV news and in-depth public TV documentaries that take you deeply and richly into a subject, exists a void in public affairs programming.

The series, hosted by KUER’s Doug Fabrizio, is a combination of mini- documentaries examining local news stories and issues of the week; in-studio panel discussions and one-on-one interviews with high-profile newsmakers such as community activists, politicians, religious and business leaders, authors, artists, and educators; and citizens’ panels with a roundtable discussion with citizens who are affected by the issues.
